Happy Birthday to Me!For my birthday I wanted to write down a few of my favorite quotes. Some of these are more recent favorites, others
have been a part of who I am for a very long time. I hope you enjoy reading them, and if any touch you, or you think
you know of other quotes I would enjoy, I hope you will let me know! One I've lived by for a long time: "The better
part of valor is discretion" --Shakespeare And one about me: "Thank God she can't cook. But she does
dine out very well. lol" (from a friend) "Only the person who risks is free"--Author Unknown from
the the poem "Risk Taking Is Free" Please...google this poem, it's amazing. "If
you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten." -- Tony Robbins "Life
is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.
" -- Tony Robbins "I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take
more chances. Be more active. Show up more often." --Brian Tracy "If what you are doing is not moving you towards your goals, then it's moving you away from your goals."
--Brian Tracy "I have a very strong feeling that the opposite
of love is not hate - it's apathy. It's not giving a damn. " Leo Buscaglia "I still
get wildly enthusiastic about little things... I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind."
--Leo Buscaglia
"Life is like dancing. If we have a big floor, many people will dance.
Some will get angry when the rhythm changes. But life is changing all the time." --Miguel Angel Ruiz "Always Do Your Best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy
as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret."
--Miguel Angel Ruiz "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings
on a human journey." --Stephen Covey "Age does not protect you from love. But love,
to some extent, protects you from age." Anais Nin and finally one last one I can't hear enough of:
"Wendy, you're the best!" Be well! XO Wendy

Goal SettingThe Chicago half marathon came and went... and I did not run it. I was
there! But for all my training so far I was just not ready to run it. Some caring souls have asked me about that...
have I failed my goal? What does this mean? Am I giving up? Absolutely Not. Goal SETTING is
about striving for and reaching toward what you want. But the best of us can be overly optimistic sometimes! I
have never in my entire life been a runner. This is a new and difficult goal for me. I've made GREAT strides in the
past few months (and LOVE my new abs!) but as for running a full 13 miles? Ummm... not yet. So what does that mean? Really, to me...it just means to re-set my goal.
Evaluate where I've gotten so far, guess (again) when I think I can reach my goal, set a new goal date, then STRIVE for it.
Maybe I'll be ready by my next date, and if not... I'm sure I'll be loving some other development by then ANYWAY!! So to all you goal setters out there...the only
other thing I can add is to make sure you set up some REWARDS for yourself as well! If you need some ideas, feel free
to email me any time! XO --Wendy
